Reception
Two four-hour shifts, Monday thru Friday
Greet patients and visitors; receive flowers & deliveries
Maintain Patient consensus; answer phone
Interchange with Escort when Escort is busy
Escort
Three four-hour shifts, Monday thru Friday
Interchange with Reception when they are busy
Transport Patients; delivery of flowers; photocopying
Distribute paperwork; work on special projects for staff
Transport specimens to the lab
Distribute puppets and bears to child patients
Interface with patients, waiting family, visiting friends
Surgery - Central Sterile
Four-hour shift. Mon.-Wed.-Fri.
Requires wearing surgical scrubs
De-lint towels, prepare surgical packs
Answer phone, photocopying, compile charts
Clean and maintain sterile shelving
Gift Shop
Three four-hour shifts Monday thru Friday
Handle sales; help with inventory & displays
Thrift Shop
Open M - F, 9am-3pm to receive/prepare goods to sell
Sale days: Tuesday & Saturdays, 9am-2:30pm
Shifts usually 4-6 hours weekly
Special Projects
Community health screening, assist in Medical Records,
Home Health, clerical, knitting/crocheting caps and booties for OB, sew bears and puppets for hospitalized children.
Resident Care
Usually four-hour shifts, but flexible
Assist with feeding, snacks, recreation activities, arts and craft projects, music, flower arranging, Sunday worship
Sewing Committee
Mending clothes for residents, seasonal decorations and stocking bags for newborn babies, items to sell at Christmas Bazaar craft table
