Home Health Care

San Benito Home Health Care is a department of Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital and is your community-based comprehensive home health agency. Your physician, a member of your family or friend may contact us or, at your request we would be happy to phone your physician for orders to start care at home.

Available Home Care Services

Registered Nurses
Our nurses work with your doctors to coordinate and supervise all phases of your treatment program. Registered Nurses will provide these when needed: injections, wound care and dressing changes, medications, diet management, catheter care and any specialized care requested by your physician.

Intravenous Therapy and Venipuncture
When you are in need of management for anitibiotics, pain control, hydration and parenteral nutrition, we provide a nurse to assist you.

Laboratory Services
If it is not convenient for you or your loved one to have laboratory services performed outside of the home, we provide routine lab work in the home in conjunction with the wishes of your physician..

Physical Therapy
When you require exercise, gait training, use of equipment, manual muscle training and other therapeutic services, a registered physical therapist works directly with your physician to proceed with your rehabilitation needs while at home.

Speech Therapy
Speech Therapists provide home sessions to restore speech, language and voice disorders.

Occupational Therapy 
Occupational Therapists design programs to improve independence, coordination and overall self-care.

Dietary Services
When your physician prescribes a special diet, a registered dietician is available to consult with you in preparation of your diet.

Home Health Aide
When you need help with bathing, skin care, food preparation and assistance in other activities of daily living, a home health aide, under supervision of a health professional, is available to assist you with your personal needs.

Medical Social Services
Sometimes illnesses leave emotional scars for you and yours. Medical social workers are available for counseling about social and emotional problems. They can assist you in finding and coordinating community resources.

Equipment and Supplies
We assist with the rental or purchase of equipment prescribed by our physician.

San Benito Home Health Care accepts Medicare, Medi-Cal and private insurance.
