About Hazel Hawkins Hospitals Foundation

Founded in 1978, the mission of the Hazel Hawkins Hospitals Foundation is to provide financial resources to support the health care activities of Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital and Hazel Hawkins Skilled Nursing Facilities. Under the leadership of a 21-member Board of Trustees, the Hazel Hawkins Hospitals Foundation works to help meet the specific healthcare needs of the people of the San Benito County region. The Foundation provides a range of charitable gift opportunities for individual and family donors, business and corporate entities and other philanthropic organizations. Gifts to the Foundation support patient care, building and equipment needs, and healthcare education. As the non-profit, tax-exempt parent organization the Foundation receives all charitable gifts and grants in support of the Hospital.

4th Annual Dinner-Dance Fundraiser

The 4th Annual Hazel Hawkins Hospitals Foundation Dinner-Dance and Fundraiser will be held on Friday, November 5th, 2010 at 6:30 p.m. at San Juan Oaks Golf and Country Club. During the evening we will honor the Hollister Rotary Club as our Organization of Year, and Tom and the late Jan Slatten as our Donors of the Year. As always, the evening will include a lively program, a gourmet dinner, wine, a raffle, and a live dance band. Proceeds from the event will benefit Hazel Hawkins Hospitals Foundation.

Our annual dinner-dances have been a rousing success raising $254,486 (net) over the past three years. The Hospital Foundation met its goal of raising $500,000 to help equip the new ER! These funds are being used right now, as the ER nears completion.

To help underwrite the cost of this year's event, the Foundation is again seeking sponsorships from many local individuals, businesses, organizations, hospital vendors and physicians. We hope that you will consider supporting this year's event. The Foundation will honor all sponsors with acknowledgement at the event and mention in all publications during the course of the year. Best of all you will receive tickets to the event, according to your sponsorship level.

These are certainly difficult economic times for all of us. Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital is a District Hospital-owned by our community! The Hospital building and expansion projects, including the new ER and the future Women's Center are designed to meet the healthcare needs of our community. With the rising cost of healthcare, shrinking revenues and healthcare reform on the horizon, Hazel Hawkins needs our support more than ever before.
