A Message from the Foundation Director

The Foundation staff is hoping all of you are safe and healthy. I know these uncertain times are challenging for all of us. Liz and I are now working remotely and are fully operational other than in-person contacts.

We want to acknowledge and thank our Hazel Hawkins team of expert and dedicated doctors and nurses who are on the front line of this outbreak. On March 6, the hospital set up its mobile ER triage tent in the ambulance bay outside of the Emergency Department. The hospital was also one of the first to offer drive-thru testing. “This process allows us to minimize exposure to our staff and other patients in the ER while we evaluate asymptomatic patient’s condition,” said Dr. Michael Bogey, emergency department medical director. We are so thankful for each and every one of you. You are true heroes. Stay safe!

If we all do our part by following the directive to shelter-in-place and avoid contact with others, we can help flatten the curve to try and keep the health care system in our country up and running.

Stay healthy!
