Hollister, Calif. – November 10, 2020:  Hazel Hawkins Memorial Hospital (HHMH)  recently welcomed several new directors and a staff recruiter.  Two of the employees were hired into newly created job functions to help the hospital address the needs of the constantly evolving environment of health care.

Melissa Middleton joined HHMH in the newly created position as a Staff Recruiter in Human Resources.   Melissa was most recently at Valley Children’s Hospital as the Physician Practice Services Coordinator. Melissa has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare field.

Chantell McClaren has accepted the position as the Director of Radiology.   Chantell has over 18 years of experience in the field of Radiology and is a multimodality technologist with experience in Nuclear Medicine, PET/CT, CT and Radiography.    Most recently, she served in a supervisorial position at a major medical center in San Francisco where she helped rebuild their CT program.

Stephan Schwarzwaelder, RN has accepted the newly created position as the Director of Clinical Services over quality and patient safety.   Stefan comes to HHMH from Stanford University Healthcare Alliance where he has served in numerous leadership roles overseeing quality and patient safety.  He has over 25 years of experience in healthcare both in the United States and Germany.

Jocelyn Jones, RN, BSN, PHN,  joined HHMH as the Director of Clinical Services for Inpatient and Outpatient Surgery. Jocelyn has extensive surgical department experience with CHOMP and Scripps Health System prior to joining the HHMH team.

Melissa Schilling, has accepted the position of Infection Prevention Coordinator.  Melissa holds a Master’s degree in Nursing Administration and has held nursing positions in Public Health departments in both Santa Clara and San Benito counties; along with serving as a Public Health Infection Prevention Nurse.
