Physical Therapy

Physical therapy focuses on restoring functional mobility arising from a debilitating injury or disease. With the use of electrotherapeutic modalities, manual therapy, customized exercise prescriptions and patient education, our therapists will assist you with evidence-based management of pain and other symptoms that hinder your ability to participate with activities of daily living involved in both work and play.

Our facility takes pride in two new services that we offer. Our Total Joint Replacement Program for hips and knees will follow you all the way from preoperative preparation to postoperative rehabilitation. We work collectively with a team of specially trained orthopedic physicians and nurses, and our track record has produced success stories of people reclaiming a life of pain-free mobility.

Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy is a specialized care that focuses on addressing Women’s Health issues affecting their physical and emotional well-being, such as sexual pain that is keeping them apart from their spouse or partner, bladder symptoms that affect their daily lives, and/or pelvic or back pain during and after pregnancy. This service provides a comprehensive musculoskeletal evaluation and treatment for orthopedic, lumbopelvic, obstetric, gynecologic, urologic and colorectal conditions.

Occupational Therapy

Occupational therapy is a specialty that helps people regain, develop and build skills that are important for everyday independent functioning. Our staff works with people of all ages who, because of illness or injury, need specialized assistance in learning skills to enable them to lead independent, productive and satisfying lives.

Hand Therapy

Hand Therapy is the art and science of rehabilitation of the upper limb, which includes the hand, wrist, elbow and shoulder girdle. It is a merging of occupational and physical therapy theory and practice that combine comprehensive knowledge of the structure of the upper limb with function and activity. Using specialized skills in assessment, planning and treatment, hand therapists provide therapeutic interventions to prevent dysfunction, restore function and/or reverse the progression of pathology of the upper limb in order to enhance an individual’s ability to execute tasks and to participate fully in life situations.

Speech Therapy

Speech-Language Pathologists assess, diagnose, treat, and help to prevent communication and swallowing disorders in adults and children. Speech, language, and swallowing disorders result from a variety of causes, such as a stroke, brain injury, hearing loss, and developmental delays. Commonly treated adult disorders include Dysphagia, Aphasia, Dysarthria, Apraxia, cognitive impairments, voice and fluency disorders. Commonly treated childhood disorders include Articulation/Phonological disorders, Language delay/disorders, Childhood Apraxia of Speech, Fluency disorders (stuttering), and Autism spectrum disorders.

Our facility recognizes each individual’s unique qualities, and we strive to develop personalized programs to meet your specific needs.
